living artist trying to make work.

this site was originally meant to be my silent replacement for Tumblr where i ramble and blast to high heavens about my gripes and troubles in a more muted platform. i later left this Blogger/Blogspot domain in the dust possibly thinking that was not the right idea... and now-- a poetry archive and link directory with some cool music and fun videos i'd like to share every now and then. (personal taste & discretion advised)

i've went under various handles and varying-- mostly minimal, success going from an aspiring high-schooler with the knack for painting to struggling college dropout with a coping amount of optimism. 2024 was the year i intended to be at my most public on social media under iwiK_rytaS (pronounced EE-wik, REE-TAHS), an terminally online traditional character artist who enjoys reincarnating the male figure to make mostly black, queer protagonists i wish to pursue creatively.

previous summary still relevant, i've always had interest in exploring spectacular, sometimes fantastical subjects and merging them with grounded genres and themes: werewolves & cryptids, folklore & legends, pro-wrestlers and fighters; horror and comedy, speculation and commentary, realities and permission. as of today, i want to illustrate fantasies i wish to give others and paint the many outcomes of such dreams and nightmares.
